Our Design Process

IDENTIFY & DISCOVERY

In this research-focused stage, we gather information from you, your stakeholders, the building site, and publicly available resources to begin our design process.

DESIGN

Once we have completed our research and have your project needs in hand, we begin our work on design solutions. Often, this stage is broken down into two separate phases:

Schematic Design: We produce a variety of design concepts and solutions for your review and approval to be explored further in Design Development.

Design Development: Once you have selected a design direction, our skilled designers add details to ensure our final creative product meets the goals of your project.

This stage includes initial pricing estimates and a Design Intent Drawing set as the final output.

PRODUCTION

USA Image can produce a wide variety of printed pieces in-house. Occasionally, we may strategically partner with outside vendors for custom jobs that require different techniques or materials that we may not specialize in. We share the Design Intent Drawing set with selected fabricators or send it out for public bid.

FABRICATION & INSTALLATION

Your final art files are handed over to the experienced USA Image production team, or we coordinate with selected vendors for fabrication, material sample review, and site review of the final project installation. Our team is available to review requests for information throughout this stage.
